We award the best social and environmental hotels as TUI Environmental Champion every year.
Scoring procedure
Hurdles for achieving the award TUI Environmental Champion are:

1. Check-lists
The first prerequisite for the TUI Environmental Champion is a score of at least 450 points in the Travelife check list (
www.Travelife.org
). This check list evaluates the performances in the areas of environmental and social aspects and thereafter is checked by an external expert (audit).

2. Guest satisfaction
At least 80% of the TUI guests need to be satisfied or very satisfied with the measures of your hotel for environmental protection. This question is part of the TUI guest questionnaire which is sent out with the travel documents. Due to validity reasons at least 10 guest feedbacks are required in order to participate in the Environmental Champion competition. For becoming one of the TOP 10 you have to have at least 30 guest feedbacks.
